About the Managing Stress Workshop

We all deal with stress at some point in our workplace or personal lives. When ignored, it can wreak havoc on our overall happiness and our professional productivity. To avoid peaks and valleys in engagement and productivity, this course provides participants with an understanding and a framework, to better manage stress at work and at home alike.

Learning Objectives

This training focuses on 4 tenants of stress management :

  • Problem solving: The ability to deal directly with problems and make positive changes to resolve them.
  • Communication: The ability to honestly share thoughts and feelings with others to promote mutual understanding.
  • Closeness: A comfort level with others and the ability to connect with people.
  • Flexibility: An openness and ability to respond to change.

  • Establishing and maintaining professional boundaries
  • Emotion-focused coping vs. problem-focused coping
  • Build and repair work relationships
  • Use mindfulness strategies to cope with workplace stress
